One Sentence Treatment Philosophy

Recovery IS possible when treating a person through the lens of heart, body, mind and soul.

Short Bio

I specialize in helping women, teens and tweens find freedom in recovery from eating disorders and trauma. I know firsthand what it is like to have unhealthy relationships with food, the scale, body image and self-esteem. Aside from personal experience, my clinical experience in eating disorders has included work in an eating disorder treatment facility, working in a group practice focused solely on eating disorders, volunteering time as a facilitator for eating disorder support groups through a local non-profit organization. I am also working toward obtaining CEDS (certified eating disorder specialist) designation. My private practice in Erie, Colorado is dedicated to help women find restoration and recovery from eating disorders.

Personal Statement of Faith

I am a Christian who also happens to be a therapist. I know that recovery feels impossible but through faith in Jesus Christ, anything is possible. He can make beauty of ashes. He is the way, the truth and the life. I am sure to seek God’s wisdom and discernment through prayer for decisions, small and large, knowing that He has my wellbeing at His forefront and that having faith in Him elevates my decisions above the pressure and fear of what the future may bring. I pray for each of my clients and their unique struggles knowing that He is the ultimate healer and that I cannot help my clients without Him. I lean on Him daily for rest as I see how difficult this world is to traverse with unbearable suffering that my clients have experienced. I want to continue to mature in my faith to better serve His kingdom and to be a faithful steward. I also want to exemplify the love He has for His children to those I help in this world through therapy. He has called me to be a helper and healer in this world. I am answering His call for my life.
