One Sentence Treatment Philosophy
It’s been my privilege to walk alongside clients as they seek to resolve difficulties. I use an eclectic approach to counseling, which takes into account the spiritual, psychological, social and biological dimensions of the client.
Short Bio
I have been practicing as a licensed mental health counselor since 1998. I enjoy navigating with couples through the tension and struggle of their journey, and processing with them their perceived presenting problems. I have a level of comfort in working with women’s issues, relational and emotional difficulties, addictions, trauma and adult survivors of abuse. My goal is to join God’s will in helping people to “walk in a manner worthy of the calling with which they have been called,” (Eph. 4:1), and I count it a blessing to be invited into people’s stories. I enjoy the outdoors, hiking, biking and playing with six grandchildren.
Personal Statement of Faith
I began a personal relationship with Jesus while attending college. I grew up with a faith in God yet believing that if I could do ‘enough good things’ I might earn my way into heaven. When I finally trusted Christ I became aware that it was through His grace and my faith in His death on the cross and resurrection that I became a part of His family. The peace I receive though my relationship with Christ is a large part of what I have to offer in my counseling ministry.
