As a follower of the Christian faith, I believe in the existence of one Holy God, who is eternally existent in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. I believe that the Bible is the authoritative Word of God, both inspired and infallible. I believe that God created men in His own image, and through freewill choice, humanity fell into a state of sin and spiritual death. I believe that because of our sin, we are eternally separated from God. Because of His great love for us, to redeem us from our sinful state and to reconcile ourselves to Him, I believe that God sent His one and only son to die for our sins, Jesus Christ, whose divine and human natures are united in one Person. I believe that our Lord Jesus Christ lived a sinless life and died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sin through the shedding of His blood and sacrifice. I believe that on the third day, He rose from the dead, overcoming the power of death and sin, and ascended to the right hand of the Father God. I believe that upon His ascension, Jesus left the Holy Spirit, the third person of the Triune God, who applies to man the work of Christ. I believe that through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, through justification and adoption, I am given a right standing before God. By regeneration and sanctification, my spiritual being is renewed. I believe that God is working in my life through His Holy Spirit, justifying me by grace through faith and calling me towards a life of holiness. I believe and trust in Jesus Christ and His call to share His message of hope and salvation to the corners of the earth and to teach, heal, and bless those in my life, who are created in His image.
